“Principals MRS. HELEN M. NEWMAN Mrs. Newman has a B.S. from Bowling Green State Uni¬ versity. She also has many hours of additional work from Ohio State University, Heidelberg College, Bowling Green State University and correspondence work from Indiana University. For twenty-five years she has been Principal of Old Fort High School. She is one of the few women high school principals in the state of Ohio. Besides the duties involved as Principal, she also teaches bookkeeping, a general mathe¬ matics class, and a government class. She is Advisor for the Juniors, Student Council, Annual, Cheerleaders, Honor So¬ ciety, Individual Speech Events, and is director of the One- Act Play. Mrs. Newman is a member of the North Central Associ¬ ation team to judge high schools who are applying for mem¬ bership in the Association. MR. NORMAN SHILEY Mr. Shiley has a B.A. from Heidelberg College. He is pre¬ sently working on his Masters Degree at Toledo University. He has been at Old Fort School for seven years. Five and one-half years of that time he taught sixth grade. For the last one and one-half years, Mr. Shiley has been Elementary Principal and has taught Seventh Grade Arith¬ metic. Mr. Shiley had previously worked in industry before he began teaching at Old Fort. He is a graduate of Old Fort School. 8

upermiembnt • V MR. ROGER E. GODDARD, Superintendent of Old Fort School, has been here for five years. He has a B.S. in Edu¬ cation from Defiance College, and a M.S. in Education from Indiana University. He has taken and is now taking additional work at Toledo University for a Ph. D. Degree. He also took post-graduate work at Miami University. Mr. Goddard’s name appeared in Who’s Who for the year 1966-1967. An honor he so well deserves. A well-planned curriculm has been instituted by Mr. Goddard. A very good science and mathematics program has been established. New furniture for several rooms has been bought. The migrant program has been expanded. In the fall of 1967 Old Fort School was the educational center for all migrant students in the Green Springs, Bettsville, and Old Fort Districts. Due to Mr. Goddard’s excellent guidance, planning, and hard work. Old Fort School continues to hold a very important and respected place with all schools in the surrounding territory. Old Fort School is one of the two Seneca County Schools who are members of the North Central Association. The class of 1968 expresses a hearty “thank you” to Mr. Goddard for his foresight, guidance and excellent leadership. 7
