Seated: Mervin Ransom, John Buskirk, President; Alton Zimmerman, Vice-President. Standing: Donald Pence, Paul Molyet. On January 9, 1968, The Old Fort Board of Education reorganized. Mr. John Buskirk was elected President and Mr. Alton Zimmerman, Vice-President. The first Monday night of each month is the regular meeting time for the Board. With the help of a cup of coffee and rolls or doughnuts the men attempt to solve the many complex problems facing them. Many additional meetings have been held by Old Fort’s Board of Education. Re-organization is being considered very strongly. The Old Fort School Community owes much to these men who willingly devote much extra time to the business of making Old Fort School a good school. The community has expressed its loyalty many times by supporting and pass¬ ing every school tax levy presented. The Old Fort Board of Education is very grateful and appreciates the community’s trust in the members. This ex¬ cellent cooperation by every one has made Old Fort School one of the best schools in Seneca County.

upermiembnt • V MR. ROGER E. GODDARD, Superintendent of Old Fort School, has been here for five years. He has a B.S. in Edu¬ cation from Defiance College, and a M.S. in Education from Indiana University. He has taken and is now taking additional work at Toledo University for a Ph. D. Degree. He also took post-graduate work at Miami University. Mr. Goddard’s name appeared in Who’s Who for the year 1966-1967. An honor he so well deserves. A well-planned curriculm has been instituted by Mr. Goddard. A very good science and mathematics program has been established. New furniture for several rooms has been bought. The migrant program has been expanded. In the fall of 1967 Old Fort School was the educational center for all migrant students in the Green Springs, Bettsville, and Old Fort Districts. Due to Mr. Goddard’s excellent guidance, planning, and hard work. Old Fort School continues to hold a very important and respected place with all schools in the surrounding territory. Old Fort School is one of the two Seneca County Schools who are members of the North Central Association. The class of 1968 expresses a hearty “thank you” to Mr. Goddard for his foresight, guidance and excellent leadership. 7
