Gone forever will be the routine of school life, the fun we had, and the friends we made. It is the hope of the 1954 Trail Staff that, as you glance through this book in the years to come, you will recapture those moments--and the echoes will begin again. The Trail Staff would like to express deep appreciation to the advisors, faculty, and advertisers, who have made this years book possible. Of the original class, thir- teen remain to graduate. Miss Marcella Willis, now Mrs. Robert Mosier, was our teacher, The main highlight of this year was our toy band, of which we were very proud. In our second year, we learned the fundamentals of arithmetic, spelling, writing, and telling time. We were chaperoned by Mrs. Raymond Shaull. As third grade students, we were Miss Christine Day's first students at Old Fort School. Our class, being first in a scrap drive, won five dollars. We used this money to buy a globe for use in our Geography Class. Miss June Dick ushered us through the fourth grade. In our fifth year, we had three teachers. They were Mrs. Bell, Mrs. Bid- dle, and Mrs. Welter. During our sixth year we were taught by Mrs. Cloutier. She prepared us for our first year in Junior High School. With Mr. Mehaffey as our advisor, we started our Jr. High School. We sold the most magazines and were rewarded with a party. We also won a trophy in the Jr. High School Track meet at Tiffin. The rest of our Jr. High Days were spent with Miss Robinson. At the enlil of this year we received diplomas graduating us into the Senior High Sc ool. We were greeted inthe Freshman Class by Freshman Initiation. Several students entered our class from Clinton School. Miss Wolfe was our Advisor. During our tenth year our class advisor was Miss Onsel. One of the High- lights of our sophomore year was a party at Halloween. Our Eleventh year was the most exciting to us, for we ordered and re- ceived our class rings. We also presented our Class Play, entitled Thomas Sheltons Ghost . In the spring we planned the Jr.-Sr. Banquet. The theme of our banquet was Hitch Your Wagon to a Star . Our class advisors were Mrs. Newman and Mr. Austermiller. Now we have reached our Senior year. As we look back through the twelve years we have spent here, we can realize the many memories which we will hold in mind in the future years of our lives. We wish to thank each teacher for the part they have played in bringing each of us through the best years of our lives. as- l . 3 , v, I , rl ' N , H---.A , . -, . As I sit at my desk, not able to keep my mind at my work, my thoughts drift back to the good old school days. The place is the Pentagon U.S.A. Here I find my former classmate Bruce Iiynch. He has graduated from West Point and is now Chief of Staff of the rmy. From here I board my plane and fly to Sidney, Australia. Here I find John Diment hard at work at the new atomic research Labratories. He has made numerous discoveries in the advancement of atomic energy. From there I fly to Hawaii. Here I find Rosalyn Lemmerman busy as in-I bee a hospital in Honolulo. She is working as an Air Force Nurse in aWa11. Now I head back to the United States. The place I land is Hollywood, California. Can you imagine who I find here? Yes, you guessed it, it's Robert Lynch. He is a producer at Metro-Goldwin Meyor Studios. He has many hits, one of the outstanding is 'My One and Only Charlene'. I leave here and fly to New York City. Here I see the United Nations Building. And just walking out I see Ronnie Bosler, our represenative. He is kept quite busy with this job. I see an advertisement which tells me that Christine Eborg is near. Let's look ahead with fashions by Christine, a dress designer for Paris Frock Inc. Her gowns are all designed to make definite impressions on the extremely fashion wise American woman. Her husband, Donald Stover is Professor of Music at Columbia University. Here I receive orders to fly to Cleveland, Ohio. I happened to See the former Janeen Hoover, a housewife and mother of five lovely children. A very good job for one so well qualified. From here I fly to Texas where I find Dick Heilman, a cattle rancher He also owns a few oil wells. He is busy getting ready for a roundup. Now I fly to the state of Florida. Here I find Donald Joseph and his wife, the former Mary Brundage, busy running a hotel near Miami Beach. Mary is quite busy with her children and the hotel to look after. Near here I also find Edward Suffecool, a famous motorcycle racer at Daytonia Beach, Florida. He has set many records. I now leave the United States to fly to Brussels, Belgium. Here I find Jon Saul the president of the Sohenia Belgium Air Lines. It operates the world's first large-scale helicopter passenger service. Canada is my next stop of interest. Here I find David Graham taking a vacation from his work. He is center for the professional basketball team, the Washington Generals. I head the plane south and land at Old Fort. Here I find Harry Shaull, the Assistant Manager of Old Forts' new modern A 8a P, as a produce clerk for nine years. Here also I find the former Katherine Barker. She is kept quite busy running telephone office and raising her four children. Just South of Old Fort I see Howard Sadoski .He is driving stockcars at Old Fort's new raceway. He tells me that Vernon Terry lives five miles south of Tiffin. I fly past and decide to stop. Vernon tells me that Dolores Brickner is in Old Fort. So I fly back. I land and ask where I can find Dolores. I am told she is secretary for Paul Gillmor Sz Co. fCon't on Page 201 FRED HARTSEL GROCERIES - Bettsville, Ohio ROSALYN ME'I'I'A LEMMERMAN BRUCE ALLEN LYNCH ,,R0sia,, ..B0b0,, FHA 1-2-3-4 FFA 1-2 Chorus 1-2-3-4 Chorus 1-2-3-4 Mixed Chorus 4 Mixed Chorus 1-2-3-4 Band 1-2-3.4 Ensemble 1-2-3-4 Orchestra 1-2-3-4 D1'8I118tiCS 3 Annual Staff Armual Staff Kampus Keyhole 1-2-3-4 KSIDPEIS Keyhllle Staff 1-2-3-4 Igibrarian 1-2-3 ?r21'1l'1E-3 peakln' 1-3 C ' g Parliamentary Procedure Honor Society 3-4 Speaking 1-2-3-4 HOWARD ANTHONY SADOSKI JON MAURICE SAUL Jon Sid FFA 1-2-3 Chorus 1-2-3 Chorus 1-2-3-4 Annual Staff Mixed Chorus 1-2-3-4 Kampus Keyhole 2-3 0l'Ch9St1'8 1-2--3-4 Annual Staff-Assistant Editor Kampus Keyhole 1-2-3-4 Parliamentary Procedure Honor Society 3 ROBERT EUGENE LYNCH iCBob!7 Chorus 1-2-3-4 Mixed Chorus 1-2-3-4 Ensemble 3-4 Annual Staff - Sales Manage Kam us Keyhole 2-3-4 Basegall 2-3-4 Basketball 1-2-3-4 Track 2-3-4 Speaking 4 BERNARD LEE SHAFER ..Bud,, Chorus 1-2-3-4 Mixed Chorus 1-2-3-4 Ensemble 1-2-3-4 Dramatics 2-3 Annual Staff Kampus Keyhole 1-2-3 Librarian 3 Baseball 1-2-3-4 Basketball 1-2-3-4 Track 1-2-3-4 l' LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the members of the Senior Class of 1954 of the Old Fort High, in Pleasant Township, Sencea County, and the State of Ohio, being of sound mind and body, and without duress or coercion, do hereby proclaim this our last will and testament.
