Each year the F.T.A. awards a scholarship to a senior student wishing to enter the teaching profession. The recipient of the current award is Nancy Smith, now enrolled as a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Beta Club members encourage scholarship, leadership and achievement by setting a good example. Beta Club For its major project, the Beta Club has decided to donate $50 to the Good Neighbor ' s Scholarship at Montreat -Ander- son College, Sponsored by local business- men, the full-tuition scholarship is award- ed to a local senior who meets the scholastic requirements set up by the scholarship board. The Christmas spirit, caroling, and good food helped to make the Beta party a memorable one.
