The tragedy of December 2, 1960, is etched deeply in the minds and hearts of students, teachers, and all who knew Tommy Lytle. The lesson to be learned from his sac ri- fice will remain with us, secondary only to the memory of the warm and generous per- sonality of our good friend and classmate. 16 -'vii U ' L MEMQRIAM Mrs. Hessie Jaynes Knupp passed away leaving us with sad hearts, but many fond memories. Her devotion as a teacher was unsurpassed. Her sweet smile, lovely soothing voice, courageous spirit, and ap- preciation of others will not be forgotten by those who knew and loved her. Her teachings still exist in the lives of those she taught. ls he dead whose glorious mind Lifts thine on high? To live in hearts we leave behind Is not to die.
