Cflass Histary An activity which includes two-thirds of ones life must have an historical point- of-view. One wonders what happened to the other one-third. That one-'third was spent in waiting for school to begin. Mrs. Beulah Nichols and Mrs. Della Williams wel- comed us into the beginning of a career without equal--the first grade. After our first year of blunders and mistakes, our second year under Miss Hemp- hill, Miss Angel, and Mrs. Biddix seemed to be a continuation of the first. Then we were eight, the world was growing, we were growing too. Miss Nodine fMrs. Nortonj , Miss Hicks, and Miss Stacey hoisted us up the third round of the ladder to the upper reaches of the primary grades, where Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Harris and Miss Marley succeeded in ridding us of the Hazyness of our first three years. Upon advancing to the fifth grade and Mrs. Wesson and Mrs. Bradley, we became aware of the World about us and realized that school is a tremendous activity. This understanding was further developed when in the sixth grade under Mrs. Hensley and Mrs. Harris our activities began to spread to include, softball, contests, and more interesting subjects. ln the seventh grade some of us suffered under and others enjoyed our first student council. Mrs. Lonon and Mrs. Kanipe furthered our undecided interest. Who can forget the eighth grade with Mr. Kay and Mrs. Knupp! !! fYou can do your own rememberingj. At last our thoughts said we were grown up and in high school. That ninth year was surely an exciting one. We were separated and put into homerooms. We dis- covered our total ignorance to school procedure and so we had to learn all over again. Mr. Moore, Mrs. Church, Mrs. Painter, Mr. Ledbetter, Mr. Woodward, and Mr. Roberts assisted us in righting ourselves. The tenth grade was very exciting too, but for the most part it was a repetition of of our first year in high school. We all had various subjects under Mr. Roberts, Mrs. Church, Mrs. Painter, Mr. Fletcher, Mr. Lindsey, and Mr. Woodward. Mr. Lind- sey arsd Mr. Fletcher were our homeroom teachers. fWe didn 't beat !P. G. that year either . We began our eleventh grade with a new principal, Mr. Greer, and three new teachers. This year we again became a mixed group in our homerooms. There sure - ly was some feudin' but it was all good natured. We had lots of fun doing our Junior Play and the Junior-Senior Banquet. Mr. Williams and Mrs. Painter were our home- room teachers. Eleven-B monopolized the P. T.A. award. fWe came closer this yearj . And we are now seniors. At last to the end of our trail, with many memories that will never leave us. This year has brought many new experiences for us. Under the supervision of Mr. Parris, our senior sponsor, the school store was operated by the seniors. With the guidance and help that Mr. Parris has always been willing to give us, we feel that we have accomplished a great many things. fWhat happened concern- ing P. G. this year ?l We sincerely hope our future life shall be as pleasant and as enriching as the past twelve years have been. '-
