President Webb continues to direct the growth of Old Dominion College. As a result of his quiet confidence, progressive nature, and guiding genius, this college has been immeasurably enriched with respect to both number and quality of its courses, faculty, student enrollment, and school plant. On November 6, 1964. the Virginia Society of Professional Engineers gathered in Richmond, Virginia to honor Dr. Lewis W. Webb as “Engineer of the Year.” President Lewis W.
