Purpose ot counseling and testing is to help each student at OHS Much thought and special care is given the selection of each individual's curriculum Through the aid of special testing pro- grams, aptitude tests, and a counseling service given by the school, a schedule of classes to suit the needs of each person is selected. The students' horizons broaden while they learn from everyday classwork. Helping new students, Sybil Basford, Peggy and Michele Pitchford, fill out schedule, library and main office cards is registrar, Miss Rena Gionta. New students are given the OHS handbook, Dog Tag Topics, and the latest edition of the Torch- light to acquaint them with the school. -.101 Counseling and helping Jack Smith with tuturt school plans, Mr. C. C. Warriner, principal, shows him his aptitude test results and his probable field for best work. Instructions for taking one of nine written aptitude tests are being given to the OHS senior class. Spon- sored by he Oklahoma Employment Security Com- mission, the testing includes a two hour written part covering academic subjects precision, and an additional twenty minute dexterity test.

In every phase of work or endeavor there are those who combine initiative, zeal and know- ledge to produce a light of advancement in their field. But the lights of education and advance- ment are not switched on immediately. They must be sought after in the practical every day routine of learning. Whether it be in art, math, business, science or music, a small flame of light is being kindled in the minds of students as they go about learning the basic foundations for their future employment or course of study. These foundations are taught by the day- by day schedule of classwork and the con- tinued efforts of students. Classes
