Since Okmulgee High was constructed and opened to classes thousands of feet have trod its wide halls, thousands have viewed assemblies in the auditorium, and thousands have completed school here and ventured into the world to seek their fortunes. This large four-story building, which has sheltered so many, operates on a routine time schedule. School takes up at 8:50, four minutes between classes, a 4:00 dismissal time, and 30 minutes after school for detentions. The '53 Torchlight is a record of time at OHS, and as you scan its pages, a flood of cherished memories will be recalled. -1 1 W
