Governor Hall Xx. Many individuals have expressed the opinion that the decade of the sixties may have been the most traumatic ever faced by higher education. Without question, it was a period of enormous growth and turmoil. However, in my opinion the challenge for students and faculty at Oklahoma State University is yet to come. The concept of college education is now called to question. There should be little question that the challenge for solutions rests squarely with the faculty and the students of our universities. There should also be little question that unless solutions are forthcoming, wealth and tech- nology alone will not suffice to preserve our democratic freedom. Many of you have voted your first ballot. Don't stop there. Don't quit asking questionsg accept the challenge that all of us face and help find the answers. Lt.
