A. Haliburton, Robert Reed, Richard Lowery, Donald Phillips, The Faculty Council discussed many important matters this year such as the OSU speakers' policy, Faculty Council Set Up Academic Appeals Board Begun in 1954, the Faculty Council is composed of 22 members. President Kamm serves as ex-officio chairman, Dr. Odell Walker is vice-chairman, and Dr. John Thomas acts as secretary. The Council serves as an advisory board to the University Administration. Faculty Council members made recommendations to the president regarding the revision of the charter. The Council also recommend- ed to the Administration that the Academ- ic Appeals Board be established. This board reviewed the grading system used at OSU.

Academic Council Advises President amm Advising the President on matters of all-university importance is the Academic Council. Its membership includes the vice- presidents, the academic deans, Dean of Student Affairs, Registrar and Director of Admissions, and the Librarian. Joining the Academic Council for its meetings as non-voting participants are the Vice-Chairman, the Vioe-Chairman- Elect, and the Secretary of the Faculty Council.
