State Regents Govern Eighteen Institutions The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education was the coordinating board of con- trol of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education. The board decides the courses of study, the standards of higher education, and the students fees appropiate for each of the I8 state-sup- ported colleges and universities and the 7 con- stituent agencies. Academic Council Advises President amm Advising the President on matters of all-university importance is the Academic Council. Its membership includes the vice- presidents, the academic deans, Dean of Student Affairs, Registrar and Director of Admissions, and the Librarian. Joining the Academic Council for its meetings as non-voting participants are the Vice-Chairman, the Vioe-Chairman- Elect, and the Secretary of the Faculty Council.
