The honorable Dewey F. Bartlett deeply considers some of the problems of Oklahoma and OSU. - H L L i T its Governor Bartlett and Vice President Abe Hesser discuss the strategy of the football team. 19 Governor Bartlett Has Special nterest in OSU Governor Bartlett has expressed his in- terest in the higher education system of Oklahoma and has worked with the var- ious Boards of Regents to improve the programs and facilities at the various col- leges and the two universities. Oklahoma State University has been of particular interest since so many of the students come from his home town, Tulsa. Realizing the influence of the Tulsa com- munity, Governor Bartlett appointed Mr. Armon Bost, a resident of Tulsa and for- mer school board member, to the OSU Board of Regents. The Governor is partic- ularly proud ofthe appointment since Mr. Bost has an extraordinary background relative to the university. Governor Bartlett has had numerous occasion to visit the OSU campus and has expressed his pleasure in the atmosphere of warm hospitality. The Governor be- lieves that this institution has a future of excellence in higher education because of the dedication of the Board of Regents, the president, the faculty and most of all the outstanding student body.

President Kamm Served On .N. Committee During his fifth year as president of Oklahoma State University, Dr. Robert B. Kamm was appointed to the 25th Anni- versary of the United Nations Committee. In addition, the native of Iowa was a pre- siding officer of a session of the 84th an- nual convention of the National Associa- tion of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges held in Washington, D.C., in November. Dr. Kamm served as a dean of the Col- lege of Arts 84 Sciences from 1958 to 1965 when he became the vice president of aca- demic affairs. He was appointed president ofOklahoma State in 1966, As the principal administrative officer, President Kamm is directly responsible to the Board of Regents for all operations of the University.
