Maw' if ' The first day of school-and a battery of orientation tests greets freshmen. 'lls this college? they are wondering. Enjoying her first coliee break, fresh- man Patsy Puckett discovers that hot java can keep those eyelids from flying half-mast. Page 8 ALLAGHICR I-IALI.. It's quiet now, but not so that day of orientation, so long ago. Cr- ganized confusion. The battery of exams. Everything is happening. But everyone is friendly. Tours about the campus. It looked bigg it was big. Gathering in the Union with new friends for coffee. You really didn't care for it at First but everyone seemed to like it. You eouldn't know that it was their first eup- o-mud, too. Coming from two hundred pounds of mus- cle, the spiel of the beanie salesman was hard to resist. You bought. Freshman Judy Roberts doffs OSU's orange and black beanie after purchase from an UO club representative, Bill I-Iolderman.
