NlrxI'luc1f1 KflI,fSl'.Xl3lll X IJl't'.S1'ffl'lIf STUDENT ASSOCIATION ACH regularly enrolled memlaer of the student body is a member of the Student Association. This organization, comprising as it does the entire personnel of the student group, makes its own laws, governs its own memlmers and has control and supervision over every phase of student interest and activity connected with the institution. The oliicers of the Student Association are ex-otiicio leaders of the Student Senate, governing liodv of the Associat ion. An association of the students of this college was first constituted in the Spring of 1918, and was an immediate success, quite effectively disposing of the old class system of student government. The present Association is empowered under a constitution adopted in 1925, and presented to the students by a Senate committee of that year. The government ol' the Association is self-support- ing, and has, of recent years, made considerable progress in carrying out a progressive and interesting program. Vvithin very few years, it is evident that the legislative, judiciary and executive departments will he securely estalvlished, and the influence of the Associa- tion will play an important part in the direction and jurisdiction of student ahfairs and relations. ff, , 1 , iwvavfmwimmw ,Mi i f A EUGENE DEVVITT, Secretary-Trmzszzrer Page 26
