Nowhere else may one loolc in future years to hnd who led, who worked best, and who gave loyal support. It cannot give the record of a thousand things, unseen and practi- cally unrecorded. The record of events is important, but to an educational insti- tution the building of lives is the more important. That result can be shown only in the future history of those who come here to school. Ability to meet problems and help solve them, to work skillfully, and to lead upward always, as well as to think and reason carefully, honestly and effectively, are things which one should get as the product of a real college education. This institution is a part of a great democracy.
