PAUL S. WHEELER Head of lndustrial Division Mr. Wheeler ioined the faculty at Tech after years of experience in teaching and supervising industrial education. Several years of employment with a major oil com- pany gave him a well rounded background for his present assignment. He is one of the most widely travelled of Tech staff mem- bersg having completed an industrial survey of Pakistan in the spring of 1954 which was routed eastward from the United States and returned from-the orient thus circling the globe. He is active in Rotary Club and other civic efforts in Ok'mulgee. imma ' GRADY W. CLACK Coordinator of Instruction Mr. Clack came to Tech campus during the first year of operation. Ten years of public school administration and four years of navy experience during World War II be- fore coming to Tech provided a background of experience in working with young people. He is versatile enough to serve as an official at athletic events, pinch hit as a coach, fill in during a teacher's absence for a number of subiects. His outside interests include raising prize-winning vegetables. His family which includes Mrs. Clack and three sons are active in numerous community and church activities. t NME.: 5. . PAUL ENGLAND Supervisor of Student Activities Mr. England ioined the Tech faculty in 1946 during the first semester of operation. A native Oklahoman trained at Oklahoma A8rM College and a tour of military duty with the Air Force behind him he was well qualified to set up the activity program for the veteran-students who entered Tech that first year. Under his direction a wide range of sports and recreational activities have been a part of the campus life at Tech. Mr. England has been active in civic and church affairs in the community. With this busy schedule he still finds time for some hobby-farming and family picnics with Mrs. England and their three youngsters.

EMMIT C. ALEXANDER Veterans Coordinator Mr. Alexander, a native Oklahoman, ioined the Tech staff after several years teaching experience and three years with the Army. His duties at Tech are varied. His office is responsible for maintaining a complete file on all veterans. He personally counsels with every veteran student on course changes, training status, and atten- dance. ln his off duty hours he enjoys the outdoors. Farming is a rather serious hobby with him, but an old fashioned coon-hunt with friends or his three sons on a crisp winter night gives Mr. Alexander one of his greatest pleasures. ln this busy household Mrs. Alexander still finds time to be active in P.T.A. and other community work. JNO. C. SUMMERS Manager of Bakery Mr. Summers came to Tech after a tenure of service in the baking industry which would be considered a well rounded and complete career by most persons, His back- ground includes many years of teaching, laboratory and business experience in bak- ing. He has directed his department to a place of national recognition, has published two books on baking subiects and has en- couraged the establishment of scholarships at Tech. He has appeared on programs at trade shows and meetings throughout the area and now looks to the future confidently for new tasks to perform in developing an outstanding trade school. DOROTHY RICHTER Personnel Assistant to the Director Miss Richter was one of the first persons employed by Oklahoma A8tM Tech, She joined the staff during the first week of operation. She is a native Okmulgeean who has a deep interest in seeing the school develop as a real community asset as well as a fine training institution. College training at Oklahoma A8iM plus several years experience in industry combine to provide a good background for Miss Richter's duties at Tech. ln addition to serving as Secretary to the Director she has been active in developing publicity material for the school. As Person- nel Assistant to the Director she is respons- ible for employees records, including student employment. Her community activities include work on civic committees and active membership in the Business and Professional Women's Club. For a relaxing hobby she likes to paint. XX
