The board supervises and elects the editors and business managers of the student publications, The Campus and The Scarah. Howard Thornton, head of the journalism depart- ment, serves as chairman of the board. Dr. l-layes, Prof. P. W. Swartz and Clifton Grossman are the other faculty members. Margaret Long, editor of THE 1946 SCARABQ Katie lVlclVlillan, Scarab busi- ness manager, Mildred Scurlock and Iune Iones Nichols, editors of The Campus, and Greta Fagerquist Newsome and loan Kuwitzky, The Campus business managers, are the student members. Various budgets and contracts involving the two publications are approved by the board in the early part of the school year. Ieanne Fleenor, President of the Senior class and chairman of the Apportioning Board, is also vice-presi- dent of her sorority, Phi Delta. She is Pioneer Coed and also past President of lnternational Relations Club. She has served on the Student Council for two years ART CUNNINGHAM and is also a member of Ron Chro Ines, Cardinal Key, Pan-I-Iellenic Council and was elected to Wlaois Wlmo. Art Cunningham is president of the Student Council, a member of the O Club and vice-president of his fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha.
