X i 'I Nl STUDENT CDUNCIL RAYMOND HORN KATIE MCMILLAN ART CUNNINGHAM The Student Council is a representative group of the entire student body which regulates and governs school activities. The president is chosen by a general school election, and two representatives are elected from each class. Among other things, the Council sees that school elections are properly carried out and spon- sors all assemblies. This year the Council started campus activities with an all-school mixer. Heavy outside duties and lack of time forced Raymond Horn to resign, and he was succeeded by the capable vice-president, Katie McMillan, the first girl to ever become the head of che O. C. U. student body. Wliile Katie was in office, the Council actively backed a Christmas food drive and an all-school skat- ing party at which time Q. C. U.'s first Skating Queen was crowned. Ac the end of the first semester, an election for a new president was held and Art Cunningham, a returned Cul. student, was elected. I-Ie, too, has worked hard for the Council and we are proud of the kind of leadership he has provided. Back in the post-war swing of things, a hilarious Leap Week was held which was climaxed by the crowning of Royal Ram and Campus Sweetheart, and all-school dance held at Blossom Heath. if 1 fc. w-mivz.,Laa,-Y: ..,. . ,.
