L -' f L' -4 if 'ig it Gala activities with Fine Arts flare Celebration for the completion of the new Fine Arts coinplex was cap- tured in a week of activities called Gala. Charles Banks Wilson, renown painter, presented a workshop for students. ABC news commentator Howard K. Smith spoke to the students throughout the day. Hardeman auditorium filled 'to capacity when Metropolitan Opera star Robert Merrill gave a concert of famous numbers. The music, art and communications departments also gave special recitals, displays and events throughout the week. Benefactois of the complex were specially honored. -'S RS- E. vi.
