Emory proficient in business skills The Emory Team competed against around 32 other private colleges in a simulated business game which developed their skills in the fields of finance, marketing, productions and communications. Each college, or business, made two decisions a Week and sent them to an IBM computer. These decisions, after competition, determined whether the team lost or gained money. This business game helped students to gain knowledge and experience in making business decisions. Dr. Leftwich advised and sponsored the Emory Team. EMOR Y.' Debate team Wins 18 trophies Competing in intercollegiate senior debate, junior debate, and in- dividual events, the OCC team made an admirable showing in all competi- tions. As there was no divisions for size of each school entered in speech contests, OCC's team, coached by Angela Laird, competed along with major colleges and universities across the nation, and accumulated 18 trophies throughout the year.
