Eagles take 4-game tour through Hawaii The OCC Eagle Basketball team reaffirmed their status as a top power among NAIA schools as they breezed through the season with a 27-7 record. Head Coach Jerry J obe led the Eagles to the first Southern Athletic Conference Championship and through the first two rounds of the District 9 playoffs before drop- ping a three-point decision to the number one team in the nation. The Eagles dazzled fans as far away as Hawaii as they swept a 4-game tour in the Islands. Kevin Jones and De- wayne Williams paced the Eagles, and both were named to the SAC All-Conference team. Jones also won the Most Valuable Player for OCC, and Jan Hadly was voted recipient of the Phys Holgren Award. EAGLES make a scramble for the ball as a confused opponent watches.
