COWGIRLS Lana Hatfield, Sue Akins, and Stephanie Autrey are judged dur- ing chapel. ll '-it -.1f.,.y+ W- ,, Western Day contests include Coke guzzling During the month of February, the cowboys of OCC attempted once again to grow tough beards for Western Day competition. On February 18, a special chapel program started Western Day off with awards to Mr. Beard and Mr. Beardless and Best-Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl. Students attended classes decked out in Western duds, and com- peted in contests in the afternoon. Con- tests included barrel roping, cow-chip throwing, seed spitting, and Coke guzzl- ing. A Western movie featuring John Wayne concluded festivities.
