L Advisors use degree checks in counseling Approximately 25,000 dollars worth of improvements this year aided Larry King in the OCC printing shop. An im- pressive addition to the equipment, the Hamada Star enabled bigger jobs to be handled more efficiently. Other ac- tivities of the OCC Press included many student and faculty projects and the type-setting of the Talon each week. Data Processing continued its im- pressive record this year in the field of student and office records. They con- irolled scheduling, grading, and atten- dance records for four local high schools. A first in the nation, the depart- ment, assisted by student programmers David North and Pat Sheehan, pro- grammed their computers to produce degree checks for each OCC student to be used in counseling for enrollment. 1. REQUESTS from staff and students for copies are handled by Polly Parsons. 2. THE technique of burning a printing plate is only one of the talents of Larry King. 3. JACK McElroy, Director of Data Processing finds his life filled with computers. 4. JACK is assisted by Jean Hooley who specializes in key punch. 36

SAGA finds cure for Big Mac Attackitis To ward off mealtime boredom, SAGA Foods provided such foodfilled times as the Halloween Meal, Flapper and Big Mac Attack nights, and the semi-annual Midnight Breakfast. Under the leader- ship of Jim Connelly, SAGA used the 'Scrambler system' this year. The Snack Bar, operated by Glenn Nance, served 'Munchies' as well as hamburgers and sandwiches to the students. l.
