EXE CUT VE OFFYCED. CDR Franl4C. Dunham, Jr., was born in Rortsmouth, New Hampshire, 26 February l92O, and is the son of the late Rear Admiral F.C. Dunham and Mrs, Dunham, RADM Dunham QSCJ, USN, retired in i953 as Assistant Chief of the Bureau of Supplies and Accounts and Commanding Officer of the Navy Finance Center, Cleveland, Ohio. CDR Dunham was graduated from Harvard University and the NROTC Rrogram in May i943 and reported to USS ARKANSAS CBB SSD in Norfolk the following month. AS Junior turret division officer, he sailed with ARKANSAS on numerous North Atlantic Convoys between Casco Bay, Maine, and Belfast, North lreland. , J ARKANSAS Convoy days ceased the month before the Normandy ,invasion and theold Battlewagortlioined her division QTEXAS, NEVADA, and NEW YORKJ forthe invasion rehearsalfin the irish Sea and eventually the big push. Following Normandy, ARKANSAS again participated in a strategic bombardment at Cherbourg and appeared two months later the' Mediterranean for the Southern France, invasion. It was from this latter tour of duty that CDR Dunham reported to USS OKINAWA in February 1962 as Executive Officer. ln addition to his wife, Doris, CDR Dunham has one son, Dale, aged lO, both of whom presently reside in Norfolk, Virginia.
