John Donne For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ . . . For the body does not consist of one member but of many. I Corinthians 12:12 and 14 J85 ! ' u . ' ' • i I VJ - But we haven ' t always worked together. We ' ve tried to go our own way and do our own thing but we ' ve found that (in the long run) nothing ever gets done that way. So, we ' ve tried to get together and we ' ve rediscovered that no man is an island and we really are a part of each other. Just like on any sports team, it takes a team effort to win. Each of us is a part of that team , a part of the body of Christ . . . . that there may be no discord in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. There ' s been a change here at school from unconcerned attitudes to a real genuine honest love. God ' s love is unique, all conquering and able to love all. Only through Him and His love have we pulled together as one - as one in Christ ' s love. - Miss K . Nelson 14 Senior Wills I, Sharon J. Allen, being of sound mind and body, do hereby bequeath my half of the locker to Jene McClellan, who had to put up with my lunch and books every day this year. To Dan Forster I leave my Trig, tests. They might come in handy some- time, if you can read them. To Johnny Wu, I leave my broken watch, so maybe he ' ll be on time for U.S. History class. And to Mr. Jon Reasoner, I leave my shorthand knowledge, so he may read the notes Annie Kaneshiro and I wrote in Trig, class. I, Lona Marie Blake, leave my height to Thomas Pogue so basketball will be more challenging. I leave my accounting ability to Mr. Ply male and he may do what he wishes with it. I, George Kawamura, leave my intelligence for those who will be seniors next year, especially Paul and Benny. My muscular self I give to Mahito Yokoi for better looks, and my handsome face I bequeath to this school for good memories. I, Kiki Yoshioka, give all my fat to Janet Tom. To Miss Skillman, I give my ability to fall asleep in Chemistry class. My hair I give to Miss Nelson, who surely needs it. And to Grace Writesel I give my technique in getting cute boyfriends. 1, Robert Pogue, leave my should-be-retired number 20 to anyone who feels they are privileged to wear it. My ' - coolness I give to those who will be seniors next year to help them to prosper in life . I, Gean Writesel, leave my extraordinary talent in soccer to Ban Son Kat and my innocence to Allen Wilkins. My study habits and promptness to Roney Lewis. And, last of all, I leave my ability in shooting pool to Mitsuji Hicks. I , Anne Kaneshiro , the best class president OCS has ever had , do hereby leave my faithful purple converse tennis shoes to Hinako Schroeter so that she will have the classiest set of feet on the court. Then I would like to give my brother Jimbo my extremely practiced skill in stalling classes and wasting classtime. Finally I leave my talent in setting up lockers and decorating locker doors, and stuffing sleeping bags to the junior class. 1, Victoria Ann Bell, being of unsound mind, but sound body, do hereby leave all my world wisdom and sophistication to Dimi Ehrhardt and Miss Janice Skillman, in the hope that they will prosper financially and socially as I undoubtedly will. Last, but definitely not least, I will my finely developed talent of irritating people to anyone stubborn, spirited, and individualistic enough to accept it. We anonymous seniors leave our unprecedented ability for toilet-papering people ' s homes to all our privileged victims, you know who you are! ! ! 15 ' There are no problems we cannot solve together, and very few we can solve by ourselves. One was a workday here at the school; taking the bus apart to wash it and then trying to put it together. Later we went to Bolo Point and under Joy ' s careful supervision got lost. We went fishing and didn ' t catch anything. All the time we were wondering whether or not the Junior- Senior banquet would be all right. In the midst of all this we learned to love each other, appreciate each other and to work together as a team. k 2 18 Julia Spottsville Cliff Stetler Allen Wilkins Lai-Wa Wong Grace Writesel Johnny Wu Benny Zambrano 19 ■: ■ , Christian Bradley Aileen Brenner Barbara Browning Dan Forster Mitsuji Hicks Mark Hotta Shiuh-Ming Hsiao Kenneth Ishioka Ban Loon Kat Ban Son Kat Anna Kinjo Sanae Lee Roney Lewis Kevin Miller Mary Moultrie s Gophomores This past year our class was very busy. We had two parties at Mr. Ply- male ' s house. We also had an all night party at school, and we issued a bas- ketball challenge, but the other classes were slow to respond. A high- light of Bible class was when each of us shared our testimony, and six people shared with the ESL kids in their chapel. We also had four great moments, like when Mary became Miss Christ- mas and Mahito won dinner for two at Shakey ' s. 20 Annie Woodruff Ayako Yogi Mahito Yokoi Thomas Pogue Hinako Schroeter Clara Shinzato Leona Shinzato Lilika Shinzato Jeannie Song David Spottsville Elisa Teruya Janet Tom Bill Williams Nancy Alapai Geraldine Anakalea Rina Arnold Jonathan Brown Gene Claxton Dimi Ehrhardt Shiuh-Ching Hsiao James Kaneshiro Freshmen We discussed life in our individual groups! We had a choice of rats or rain at the campout, and the way some of us slept was rather interesting . Jon , Shiuh Ching and Jonathan made the Japanese class full of laughter. We ' ll remember freshman initiation - dressed like clowns and dragged about the school by the seniors. We planned ways we could get even with the sophomores who missed all of this . This year it was fun to relax and watch the Elementary Christmas Program, remembering all the work we went through last year. Other assemblies and chapels, including the Army Band presentation, teachers ' testimonies, the New Life Brazil Band, and several movies highlighted 01 year. Seventh grade means six different classes and teachers every day, involvement in sports, and having a study hall so we can get homework done at school. Our class advisor, Mrs. Jones, helped us to organize ourselves. With her help we had a picnic lunch and held an inter-church musical - two activities we will never forget. ft AA ln Ken Onaga John Shibata Steve Spargur Carol Tamaki m Mtik± Stephen Tiedemann David Whitney Katherine Yam Mei-Lee Yu • ■ 1 « -. ■- . :•■ • - ' v iK ' Hatsuko Isa Atsuko Ishigaki (Not Pictured) Takashi Itami Kurimi Kinjo Junko Kyan Naoaki Maeshiro Katsuya Matshuda Tomoko Miyagi Ryoko Miyazato Yoko Nakahara (Not Pictured) Koshin Nahamura Yoshie Sakihara Katsumi Tawata Ritsuo Tokumoto Sueko Toyozato Kozue Une (Not Pictured) High School ESL We waited every morning for Miss Skillman to open the science room.
