May, 1972 My son, attend to my words. .. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; Iceep them In the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them. and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. As seniors it is superfluous for me to tell you that today ' s world is a world of change. In fact, it would be superfluous for me to tell you that this has been a year of change. We have had a change in Administration, a number of changes in the teaching staff, changes in courses offered, and, certainly, changes in our student population. Yet, with all our changes (and our changes are only small and few in the sum-total of all things), how is it possible to have change, any change, unless you first have a reference point whereby you judge and evaluate change? You will be required to chart and steer the courses of your lives through a sea of ever-increasing change. How will you be able to retain purpose? HOW will you judge and decide? You have only one life -tha t ' s all, so you will want it to be the best possible. May I take this opportunity to encourage you to make Christ central in your lives and keep Him there? He has promised never to leave nor forsake His own and to fill the desires of the longing heart. Also, may I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your achievements in school through the last twelve years, both academic and athletic, as well as social and spiritual. It is my prayer for each of you, that you will have all that God has intended for you to have of success, joy, peace in your lives. I remain, in His love, K? Ken L. Penner Principal, Okinawa Ohristian School
