MESSAGE Dear Students: Since the home, with the influence it exerts, is the most important institution of our society, the decision of the yearbook staff to use HOME as the theme and to dedicate this annual to the PARENTS is certainly commendable. A good heart is essential to pump life-giving blood for the support and maintenance of a strong body. Likewise, good homes are essential in providing the love, understanding, patience, sym- pathy, praise and discipline so necessary to the development of happy individuals, Also, good homes inspire a genuine respect for human personality, mark the difference between happiness and fun, create enthusiasm for worthwhile activities, and create an abiding faith in the Infinite. As long as the homes in America provide the atmosphere and training necessary to produce self- respecting, self-disciplined, ambitious. God-fearing boys and girls, the schools and churches of our great country willbe able to educate and train young men and women who will keep America free. You would do well to remember that the intellectual, physical, and spiritual strength of our nation will depend upon how effectively the members of our homes perform their duties and responsibilities.
