I begin this poem of the Senior Class By telling the name of each lad and lass. If your ear is offended by the lack of rhyme You may charge it up to old Father Time. with Abshier we have stormed the years, With Aaron and Brown we conquered fears, Bynum and Barrett climbed the Gray hill, With Coe and Hawkins on the way to Blackwell. While Shlpman's reputation grew, Williams marveled at the things Smith knew. Yes, there was Unterklrcher who led the class, And Seawell's shorthand skill, no one could pass. Wood is the last name of Frances and Mary Oh, come on Slagle, don't be so contrary, Let Harvey and Gregory hold your Speech book, too, So Wyrick, Hutchins and Byers can look on with you We won't forget how R.T. croons, During dear ole' Lit.class in the afternoon, Or how Slaughter and Weaver gaze to the Wright, Where Mayo sits with Palmer, Carroll and White. Livesay and Clark were by our side, Both Crooks and Cooks, Coale and Fullbrightg While Harjo read that Hays Green, McKinney Herd of the Hudson stream. Hodges and Palmer surely won't wed 'Cause his hair is black and her's is red. Whltmire and Matlock think this is gay For it helped Branscum survive till Graduation Day We'll remember Woodward, Gordon and Rice, And Callison who followed the teachers advice. There's Smith and Eary and don't forget Hyatt Whose actions at school were always a riot.
