Sophomore Gloss The sophomore class has been very active in 1957. On the first day of school sophomores met in Mr. Warneoke's room for a class meeting. They elected Dale Easley president, Greg Fragner, vice president, Sharon Eden, secretary-treasurer, and Mark Hancock, sergeant-at-arms. Sophomores in activities were: Football: Dale Easley, Gerald Fickes, Mark Hancock, Bob Buzzard, John Ridpath, Bob Gillespie, and Jeff Carlson. Managers: Ralph Louis, and Randy Hansen. Basketball: Dale Easley, Greg Fragner, Gerald Fickes, Fred Kaufman, Mark Hancock, Tom Pewthers, Tom Doney, Randy Hansen, Bob Buzzard and Eddie Johnson. Drill Team: Former leader, Sharon Eden, leader, Verna Barker, members, Sandra Hodgson, Bernice Brown, Sharon Key, Carolyn Pein, Sandy McRae, Janice Carlton, Elinor Hove, Janice Johns, Penny Bryant, Doris Wagen- man, Judy Hopper, Mary Raymond, Anita Hall, Sharon Bangert, Sara Dur- ham, Vesta Dykes, Georgia Orr, Marlene Wahl, Gaye Wood, Shirley Moser, Substitutes, Marge Waddell and Mary Copple. Majorettes: Verna Barker, Elinor Hove, and Marge Waddell. Vernon B. G. Exchange Students: Sharon Eden and Tom Pewthers. Leadership Conference: Doris Wagenman and Fred Kaufman. Tennis: Fred Kaufman, Tom Pewthers, and Verna Barker. Badminton: Fred Kaufman, Fred McCully, Dale Easley, Elinor Hove,Verna Barker, Deloris Sparks, and Bill Haven. Q35-get Plays: Sandra Hodgson, Carolyn Pein, Verna Barker, Deloris Sparks, Gaye Wood, Sharon Key, Clair McIntosh, Manford Miner, and Jack Lemons. . Twenty sophomore girls were in Pep Club. Other activities were: Track, baseball, minor sports, annual staff, Girls' Club, F H A, and spring tennis. New students entering the sophomore group were Jim Wilson and John Grier. Only one person moved, and that was Sharon Eden to Wenatchee. 31
