Sophomores Looking back over this year the sophomores agree it was a very successful one. On the first day of school the class gathered in Mr. Kriss room to choose class officers. They were elected as follows: President, Mark Thompson, Vice President, Tracy Murray, Secretary-treasurer, Rose Ella Graves, Sgt. at Arms, Miriam Paupg Program Chairman, Mike Dickson. Roger Toler and Mark Thompson went to Leadership Conference at Univerisity. Don DeVon, Susie Ross, and John Townsend were on the debate team this year. The largest turnout this year was in sported On the football squad was Don Tarbert, Allen Townsend, Bob Colyar, Bob McIntosh, Chuck Abel, Larry Gillespie, and Don DeVon, Basketball, Don Tarbert, Bob Colyar, Chvck Abel, Mike Dickson,and Mark Thompson. Two of the boys who play on the A sqpad and B squai are Tom Payne and Mike Conner. There also was a large turnout for track and boys and girls mino sports. New sophomores to join the class this year were Bernice Thomas and Johnny Townsend. Virginia Bigelow returned second semester from the coast. Sophomore Pep Club members were: Joyce Somerville, Mariam Paup, Teresa Ramsey, Iva Kvamme, Ngppy Sautell, Helen Profit, Mary Baker.
