Later in the term we recelved lnvltations to attend the football and basketball dances. Our first soclal Ct1V1t3 s sophonlrcs was the nCotton Hop ' We put on a dance Slmilar to one put on by the class of '47g thus the nCotton Hopn became an annual affalr, 'Junior Mlss was the flrat play 1n whlch our class tered, two of our classmates were 1n th1 all school play. we wound up our sophomore year w1th a very successful plcnic at Alta Lake Our Junior year started out w1th a watermelon picnic at O ak Lake Everyone had eplenty of w'tormD1on tio or three 8P1GC6l When our class rlngs came, we had a roller skating party to regoice over our new Jewelry, Some whose minds turned to dramaties were Love Your Neighbor and in the three one act speech class plays. The maln event of our Junior year was the Prom glven for the senlor olass The theme, Star Dust,' wa worked into a beautiful settlng Stars, effective 11ght1ng, and billowy clouds helped to glve an out of th1s world atmosphere to the gymnasium The class had several spr1ng partles before the final p1onlc at Alta Lake At last we were senlorsl To celebrate the fact, we held a party 1n the gym Us took an ctive part 1n the all school play, T1ger House and the sppech class put on three one act plays agalrs The senlor play, 'Home Sweet HOm1C1d9,n was fun, Our parents gave us a Sen1or Banquet and Ball, Thls was an event whlch every senlor really appreciated. Sen1or Sneak! Boy, d1d we have a good time! Baccalaureate and Com encement hlgh lighted the endlng of our S6H1Of year.
