IHIISTQDIRY The fall of 1941 found nineteen green but eager freshmen ready to grasp all knowledge offered. They were Roberta Black, Jeanne Bradley, Patrick Bucher, Shirley Engelking, Robert Gould, Conrad Huso, Marian Jarrett, Billy Nepstad, Albert Perron, David Riegle, Harriet Rogers, Paul Shea, Irene Sigurdson, Laverne Stephenson, Dorothy Tucker, Edwin Vrooman, Frank Welch,Everett Weniger, and Sidney Whitt. At the end of the first semester the class lost Jeenne Bradley when she moved to Spokune. After surviving a tough initiation from our elders we took roll cull in our Sophomore year to find thet Frank Welch, Pet Bucher, and Edwin Vrooman discontinued school. Billy Nepstud had married, and Irene Sigurdson und Laverne Stephenson transferred to other schools. We had the pleasant surprise of having Vivien Bannon of Shelby enroll. The term of N43-44N found eight of us buck. We suffered the loss of Merinn Jarrett to Coeur de Alone, Idaho, Paul Shea and David Reigle to Cut Bank and Everett Weniger to Shelby. This proved to be u busy yeur with long hours of decorating and plen- ning for Prom and Banquet. Our Senior year wus for more exciting. We were sorry to lose Roberts Black to Dutton and Robert Gould to Sunburst. Everett Weniger enrolled again from Shelby. The evening we marched up to the stage for our diplomas there were but eight of us. Conrad Huso, Shirley Engelking, Everett Weniger, Vivien Bannon, Sidney Whitt, Dorothy Tucker, Albert Perron and Harriet Rogers. Everett Weniger and Albert Perron

IPB? GDIPIHIECEY - Hey! kid get out of the way! Hers comes the Senior gang of W45W, on the way to help bring that great day of Victory closer. Well, well, let me see where shall we start. Let's board this passing jeep and ru out to Camp White, Org. and see what Captain Perron is having for dinner today. As we enter his office some poor private is sure getting it. Hwhat is the matter here, Sir.W This young pup overstayed his leave four hours. Now. Cap. Perron, can't you remember the nights back in good old Oilmont Hi and then you didn't get to school until late the next day. Take it easy. No time to stop and see what happens. We have only a little time to get out to the Airfield before Lt. Conrad' Huso takes that new plane up for a try out. Oh, oh too late, he has already left the field. Oh, brother, look at that baby fly, But I suppose the flyer has a lot to do with it. There is a plane just leaving for New York. Let's take it. We have just time to hear Dorothy Tucker sing at the grand opening. Hold it boys, she's whistle broke. It's getting dark and we must get home in time for breakfast tomorrow morning. Missoula, 5 miles. Say, driver stop at the Col- lege and we'll see how Shirley is. This is her last year you know. In a couple of yeurs the Hi School girls will be longing for one of Shirley's original dresses pictured in the Mademoiselle. Gee, there is Everett W. the star foot-ball play- er. Why it se ms like only yesterday when he played on our hone temn. Home again, back to good old Oilmont. Who is that sailor home on leave? No other than Sidney Whitt. Boy, look at those medals. I bet he has seen some action. Why the mail train must be late again. What! A letter from Harriet Rogers,a Cadet Nurse overseas. She writes she is in England and has seen quite a few ef the kids she went to school with. Breakfast is ready! What, where am I? Well, I will have to admit that was quite a nightmare. Coming mother! , Harriet Rogers f 1
