Team Sports Reflect a Good Image at O11 Clty Sports is the most important element in student life at OCHS, according to a survey of the senior class taken by the Oil Can staff. Both athletes and spectators said that they feel involved in the sports program because sports create a feeling of unity and en- joyment. Of all the sports, the events most at- tended by students are football, boys' basket- ball, and wrestling. Several students felt that the girls' basketball team, which achieved a perfect 17-0 record, did not receive the atten- tion it deserved. 1 5 ,I t xr, 'r I v Q sg. .ig if f. cl 10

However, several seniors are involved in community activities such as the Easter Seals program, the Ful Hous teen center, and various church groups and projects. A desire for more op- portunities for teen involvement was ex- pressed by many seniors who feel Oil City is a dull and boring place for young people. 9
