SCIENCE AND HEALTH Mr. Darcies instructs students in formula making. OCHS offers its students a general science course, two years of biology, one year of chemistry, and one year of physics. The annual science fair has been successful in stimulating interest in research and experimentation. Personality problems, the dangers of alcohol and narcotics, and ways to avoid accidents are some of the useful things all students leant in tenth grade health classes.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND HIGHWAY SAFETY OCHS is doing its best to keep its youth physically fit. Each student is required to spend two periods a week playing various games, tumbling, or doing exercises to improve muscles and balance. Fitness tests are administered by the instructors each fall and spring. Statistics prove that drivers who take a training course in school have fewer accidents than those who don’t. Therefore, Senior requires that each student take a classroom course in highway safety, and also offers a driver’s training program to anyone who wants it. The program has been so popular that a year ago a second student driving car was purchased. Three cheers for the coach of the Section two Champs! Mr. Lynch gives tips on buying a used car.
