A Thorough Knowledge of English Is a Necessity for Further Learning ENGLISH The English teachers of Senior High teach their students much more than ports of speech and punctuation. One of their main objectives, teaching the art of good composition, is studied by analyzing the techniques of established writers, by learning the fundamentals of the skill and, finally, by triol and error. Developing poise in speaking before an audience is another goal aimed for by giving oral book reports and class discussions. The English department's curriculum is planned to give adequate preparation for the student whose formal education ends with high school and also for the student who goes on to further his education.
