This is Senior Ilighl lt is the only school huilding which can he entered on any floor from the ground level. This unusual fact has gained for Senior national recognition, and many resi- dents of the connnunity refer to the structure as the uhelieye it or notl' huilding. A few of Seniorls students know this star- tling fact: hut for those students who do not. here is the explanation. Senior has eight entrances located on live leyels, each floor having a ground entrance. Two entrances on Spring Street lead to the hasement leyelg one entrance on Graff Street opens on the first floor. The second entrance on Cralf Street, located at a higher point on the hill. makes it possihle to enter. from the ground leyel, the auditorium which is located on the second lloor. The halcony of the auditorium has A snowy Deeeinher day finds Nancy lloss and Charles Sainonsky at the third floor entrance ready to emhark on another day. exits which lead to a third floor entrance on Drake Alley. The fourth floor can he entered from a door located near the alley. Why was such an unusual huilding con- structed, you may ask yourself. Does it have any advantages? The hill on which Senior is situated offers the ideal location for a school with niulti-level entrances. Senior on a hill is practical and convenient. The huilding needs no fire escapes, because every floor has a ground entrance. If an emergency arises. the huilding can be easily and safely evacuated. Now that you are familiar with Senior's unique construction you will he ahle to answer the question, what does your school look like?
