These represent all of the buildings which have been discussed as the earlier additions except Watson Hall of which, un- fortunately, no suitable drawing was available as Le Bijou went to press. Watson Hall, construction of which is awaiting a decrease in building costs, is proposed as a Woman ' s Building costing $200,000. These buildings and Austin Hall are but a part of the complete scheme of the Development Program which seeks to provide sixteen new buildings, improvement of old buildings, campus extension and improvement and $5,250,000 in additional endowment. The successfvd culmination of these plans will rank Ohio Wesleyan with the finest equipped small colleges of America. The Development Program does not plan for expansion into a great university but for an institution which will be a Greater Wesleyan because it is a better Wesleyan. No matter how great the vnsion of those who plan for Ohio Wesleyan and who administer her affairs, great realities can be attained for the university only by the personal effort of its students, alumni and friends. With them rests the future of Ohio Wesleyan. They must not only give but must get as well. The students, alumni and friends of Ohio Wesleyan can and must give much in money but if the great -ision shining before the university is to become a reality, they must give service as well — service which will interest other people possessing both financial ability and a phil- anthropic attitude toward Christian education. The Ohio Wesleyan of today works as best it can against many physical limitations in steadfast devotion to its purpose. The psychological laborator - although housed in an ex-g Timasiimi is doing the finest research work in the state. The chemistr labora- tories are in a former hbrar - and the physics laboratories in an ex-hotel almost a centxirj- old but the work of these two d epart- ments has wide recognition for its scientific merit. New buildings must rise to take over the functions so long and faithfully performed in the old. Rich as are these ancient land- marks of the campus in tradition, Ohio Wesleyan spirit v -ill soon hallow the new structures with traditions as fine. But ficrst this same Ohio Wesleyan spirit must provide the financial foundation without which the vision of the Greater Wesleyan will remain only a -ision, alltiring but fruitless. odM i C ' i A «r- C- IT c- ? , VIZ 25 PHI BETTA KAPPA Honnrfiry Sclinliistir Irn irnity Ivr A OK ( )ni() Kstahlislicd NciMMiibcr '  , 1 M)7 OFFICKRS John T. Of this group five organizations have heen granted charters by national fraternities. Three of these. Alpha Delta Pi. (Jamma Phi I ' .eta. and Theta Upsilon have heen installed. The other two expect to have their insl.iUation services some time this spring. Although sororities have been on the Ohio Wesleyan campus before, this is the first time that national organizations have been permitted to establish chai)ters here. The groups are governed by the Pan-Hellenic Council and a number of rules are enforced. A University Week is observed, and during this time no upper class woman may wear the insignia of her group. Freshmen girls can be pledged only after attaining a certain point average and during the second semester. An attempt is being made through the Pan-Hellenic Council to see that the groui)S strive together for the luomotion of the highest ideals of the University; and to jiut Ohio Wesleyan lirst in every phase of Ohio Wesley.in life. ijou 25 Alpha Delta Pi Top Row: H.
