We came to win. USC massacred Notre Dame while coach Woody sat in the TV announcer's booth speechless. Now if Notre Dame could beat Alabama tnumber oneL and we could knock off USC that would surely place us as the top team in the country. Well, Notre Dame beat Afabama, But our superstar Archie Griffin didn't have the blocking and only gained 67 yards. Ohio State came out smelling, but not like roses. Final score USC 18 OSU 17 USC became the top rated team in the country with Alabama number 2 and OSU number 3 Need to know more? SHOE. 31Wsunshine i - : SENIOR CLASS CARN-1 sunshineXBTlQ saga - um w. .- -m IN MEMORIAM ENIKo BURGYAN What can you say about a woman-child whose major passion was caring for stray cats and wounded birds. And never worried if the scars she got on her beautiful hands would be permanent. What can you say about a woman who was like the pied piper to anyone that needed help. One who lived her friends problems. Whatever was alive she wanted to touch. And love. She wanted little for herself but in her relation with life she wanted to be a part of all that was real. She was going to be an artist, a dancer, a sur- geon, a rancher, a biologist, a teacher and a social worker. Sometimes all at once. She used to wish she'd lived on the American frontier a hundred years ago where reality over- ruled the need for credentials. But today these dreams would have meant sacrificing too much of today in favor of tomorrow. Except in motherhood. And that was really all she ever wanted. Those of us who knew her feel like screaming out in righteous indignation at this one unfulfilled dream. That was where all the dead-end roads and blind alleys met. But our Eniko knew how to love. And above all else she loved God. One of her favorite passages from Ecclesiastes is a familiar one: To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Enikb believed this and if she were able to counsel us today she would say- Accept. Accept life and all that comes with it. Accept, but make the most of it. She would say, life goes on and so must we. We will miss her, but she was one who be- lieved more than she could prove. Her wish for us would be that we could too. 44 mm. .mm t wu .no . sAou ram n H E af ws .
