'r IS a very great pleasure indeed to avail myself of the opportunity of writing a brief message to the graduating class and the student body of Ohio Northern University. You are to be congratulated upon being in that select number of men and women for whom a higher education is available. This opportunity for higher education, however, carries with it correspondingly great responsibilities. In a real sense you are to be stewards of the well-being of your fellow men because of the training, fellowshi , and social opportunities that Ohio Northern is bestowing upon you. The world rightly ex- pects your educational investment to return dividends, not only to yourselves, but also to our civilization generally. It should be borne in mind that your cultural and professional training are but the means of making possible greater usefulness on your part on behalf of the generations with whom you are to be thrown in contact. May I ask therefore, not only that the good wishes of the University shall accompany you, but that the blessing of divine providence itself will signalize your entrance into the world of affairs and abundantly enrich all your efforts for the well-being of yourselves and others. -Robert Williams.
