No matter what wealth or luxury may surround her earlier years, the woman may be forced sometime or other to fall back upon her own resources. The well-dressed woman and good taste in clothes cannot exist without each other. Good taste is not an inheritance. The ability to dress well is not a birthright, but a study of color scheme, style of figure, materials, and the style of the day. Choose good and beautiful materials. Costly and many, if you are rich enough to afford several frocks and have suitable opportun- ities for wearing them, few, but excellent of their kind, should your dress money be limited, is a great motto.
