For several years they have not held any meetings and the club was forgotten by everyone. IMr. Hooper told a few students of the organi- zation that had existed and what their intentions and ex- pectations had been. This aroused much enthusiasm among the students, and this school year we have organized the club under the same name. The purpose of this club is to bring the Architectural students together and instill in their minds architectural beauty, ambition in design, competition and broader and deeper views in architecture. On Friday, March 17, 1928, we held a competition for a design or emblem for the club. This emblem had to involve the Lotus Flower. The competition was won by Leroy H. Becker, our President. His design involved a tee-square, thru a triangle, and above all the Lotus Flower. The colors are red and gold. ' The attendance at the meetings is very good and this predicts that the lmembers are real live wires and are interested in the organization. The business is carried on in the usual manner. On May 7, 1928 we were very sorry to hear of the death of our beloved instructor, Mr Hooper. Under his guidance, we have organized a club that stands for the highest form of our profession, and we hope in time to come, to proceed with our duties and social gatherings as he would have liked us to do. As our school year closes, we lose some of our active members. They leave here because they have completed their required work satisfactorily and are about to enter a new world. By a new world, I mean the business world, where they will Colne in contact with people and transactions of various kinds. We hope that the Lotus Architectural Club of next year and the years to come, will carry on and better the good work thot the organization has so far started.
