Clyde Bruck, also playing his first year in the out- field, showed much promise because he can play most every other position, too. VVi1liam Stockhove, Robert Wunder and Robert Kruth- offer, also remain. Stockhove playing this year already made him a valuable player for next year. Wunder and Kruthoffer will also be Valuable to the team. This is 'their first year of playing and we feel sure that next year we will find Wunder playing first here, and Bobby roam- ing all over the center field positions. The team wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Carson Hoy, our coach, for his untiring efforts to give the school a winning team. We also wish to :thank Robert Runck and Maurice Reardon, our two loyal rooters who were always at the games and gave the team a good laugh which always made them feel much better. Bud Kumpf who has finished his third year of playing with the Institute, was the jack-of-all-positons. He caught for two years, took a turn at pitching now and then, played on the infield, and outfield, and too-k much interest in the team to see that all were kept on their toes all the time while playing, and whatsoever he played he always played art his best. Charles Appel, captain and our star short stop, has another year to play at the Institute. Appel played his position in fine form and his unusual dispotion made a player who was hard to keep down. We wish him luck in his undertakings with Carson Hoy to put forth a real ball team next year. Red Sullivan, playing his first year on the team gave us a real second baseman. Red ' figured in many double plays, and the two red heads, Appel and Sullivan, had their tune of: Appel to Sullivan, to Kumpf and Sullivan to Appel to Kumpff' -'-A- - -Q--w - 76 fnvmvmx-rsx-fAwAx'7m'h1-Mx-mi-IA fm-mevm-znvrni-mi-759-Ynifnvmvkli'rm-rm-:Ax-74askin ' Ai- m'1m'fAwAv1Avmwm- x'v'ls'tlWln'i lhl-'.A1':CN :lk Page Ninety-four
