I am the Roving Reporter, and the date is March 8, l98O. My story. . . a big event in the elder Kozel's life .... the mar- riage of his second son, Jeffrey. Invitations were mailed and guests arrived from far and near. I was all ears and here are the secrets I learned. N Of course, everyone knows of the Balch Discoveries in the world of science. Gerald says that they are all due to Carol and her efforts to learn how to cook. In other words, her mistakes became Gerald's scientific discoveries. Yes, Carol Etheridge did become Mrs. Gerald Balch. Karen Krieger Carl- son, wife of Gail Carlson, well known Miami Beach trucking . firm head, was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her husband. His trucking business keeps him traveling, too. David Blaine, White Sox baseball player was unable to attend the wedding be- cause he was in spring training, but Richard Sisler, Chicago's most famous bachelor was there and the young ladies were buz zing 'round him like bees 'round a hive. Dr. Kay Doran and her nursing staff, Pat Stocking Albrecht, Gloria Enright, and Judy Farley were unable to attend because they were under- taking a major operation. They were removing a splinter frorn the finger of Donny Albrecht, Jr. , son of Don and Pat Albrecht Donald, Sr. , is a rancher, animal trainer located somewhere in Utah. Tom Piper, coach at Notre Dame, and David Willey, coach at Ohio State hardly spoke to each other. In fact, their wives had to keep them on opposite sides of the room. Come now, boys, is that the way to teach sportsmanship! Fred Allen an honorable member of the Globe Trotters again was hit on the head. This time by the white wedding bell as he entered the archway to congratulate the elder Kozel. Fred still has not learned how to duck. Colleen Evans, the well-known caterer of our times, was proud to be the one on the job to serve the many wedding guests. Fred Swanson, comedian: and David McGraw, second Roy Rogersg entertained during the wedding reception. And, to make everyone feel safe, and to protectthe wedding gifts, detective Jack I-Iardersen and private secretary, Joyce I-Iensel were on hand. I see now that my time is almost up, so I must go off the air. This afternoon I am to attend the lecture on Seven New Ways to Teach English given by Professor Mickie Gorman. So, away and back again tomorrow to review her lecture. Will you be listening? 11 7 cfm, wa, The F arnily CAST OF CHARACTERS Martha Cole, the mother . Candida, youngest daughter .
