Senior Class History 25 Freshmen began our high school careers in September of ' $8} with Mrs, Johnson as car sponsor. The class officers vrere; Bruce Bickle, President} Gary Chilcote, Vice President; David Mathew, Secretary; Jim Blossom, Treasur- er; and Barbara Sutton, Reporter, Two of our classmates, Jim Blossom and Mary Hoffman won honors of being Valentine King and Queen. Ii hen we tettirned in September of ' 59 to begin our Sophomore year, we still had our 2$ members and again Mrs, Johnson was our sponsor. During the year, Gary Chilcote moved to Berne, Indiana, Take the VorlB as You find it, but Leave it Better , was chosen as our class motto; lavendar and white tlth the v;hite rose are the colors and class flower, respectively. The outstanding event of the year v;as the ordering of oar class rings. During the Sophomore year we with the Freshmen, took a trip to Chicago to visit the Museum of Nathral History and the Muse im of Science and Indust- ry. This day was well spent. The class officers were Gloria Clouse, President; Dave Kathew, Vice President; ary Hoffman, Secretary; Joyce Agler, Treasurer; and Larry Krugh reporter. As Juniors we entered school with 23 membe s and MiT. Ransbottom as our sponsor. The big event for the Juniors v;as receiving our class rings. Dur- ing the year we were busy with our prom, Some Enchanted Evening , and the class play Roaring Twenties Revue , The class officers for that year were as follows: President, Gloria Clouse; Vice President, Jean Sidle; Secretary, Mary Hoffman; Treasurer, Joyce Agler; and reporter, Marjorie Ayers, The class traveled to Greenfield Village at Detroit, Michigan, to spend the day touring the Ford Museum and the Village. On September 12, 1961, we began our final and most rewarding year with 21 members and Mr. Lybarger as our sponsor, The class officers v ere David ■ athew. President; Jim Blossom, Vice President; Barbara Sutton, Secretary; and Helen Myers, Treasurer. Besides Meet Viy Ghost , which was presented by the class, other pro- jects were ballgame concessions, se ' ' ling magazines, and a spring carnival. We traveled to New York for our final class trip. Of course mention must be made of r-ur outstanding students, Dave Math- ew, Valdictorian; Barbara utton, Salutorian and also our Home-Coming Queen; Mary Hoffman, the Senior Attendant to our Home-Coming Court, Gloria Clouse, Home-Com5.ng Attendant her Freshman and Junior years, and Lupe Pina as our Sophomore Hgme-Com:i.ne attendant, Sarjorie Ayers represented our school as the Cpndidate for obby-S ' ow Queen, President Secretary
