Class Poem A real good sponsor is hard to find, One full of smiles and fun. Mr. Leiendecker is that sort of guy, And we thank him for all he's done. Every class has a basketball star, And we are proud to say, That Eli Pina is the guy We're most proud of today. A Homemaker of Tomorrow That's our prediction for Beverly Kline. She won the Betty Crocker Award And that's a pretty good sign. Jerry Hoffman is a farmer. It suits him to. a T . In the top ten,he was chosen As the best personality. Mary Thompson is a tiny girl, And she likes to watch T. V. Her favorite food is pizza, And her favorite actor is Elvis Presley. Some say he's lazy, But the ones who know him well Say Scott Ellinger is a regular guy. We think he's swell. Three cheers for our cheerleader, Barb Bickle is her name. Her lovable disposition Is the reason for her fame. Alice Mathew is a nice, quiet lass. She is our blue-eyed blond. She's also smart as all-get-out. Of her We're very fond. She's never at a loss for words, Our Joyce Rice, we've found Is full of witicism And n.ice to have around. David Germann is the brain of our class. He studies hard, you know. We're hoping whatever he decides to be, Right up to the top he'll go. Theee is a girl named Connie Chaney, The president of our class. Nice and pretty, smart and witty Is this charming lass. A certain young man named Bart Sidle Says a Chevey is his favorite car. His favorite pastime is sleeping And his favorite actress is Zsa Zsa Gabor. A guy who says flying is his favorite pastime, Must be as bright as a button, He likes swiss steak, football, and Jane Russel. O yes, his name is Paul Sutton. Rex Moonshower is tall and blond. He likes to play basketball, If Janet Ellinger isn't around, You may find him sleeping in study hall. He doesn't like research papers, But he thinks hotrodding is fine. He's most likely to be seen in a Mercury. You guessed it, his name is Bill Kline. It's hard to write a poem about Ronnie Agler, There's really too much to tell. He likes Vera Corathers, basketball, and cherry pie. And besides all of that, everyone thinks he's swell. Larry Shaw, a curly headed guy, Has his future all planned, we hear. He's going to go to college To become an engineer. Rita Haver, the pride of our class, It always friendly and gay, And no matter what the future brings, We hope she stays that way. Ronald Coombs hates bossy people And it's easy to understand why He minds his own business and has lots of fun Now who would want to boss such a wonderful guy? We wish Sue Akerman happiness. She is a bride-to-be. May her troubles all be little ones, or maybe two-or-three. Leila Wortman has a goal, A very good worker, I'm sure you'll agree As editor of the Totem Pole And she'll go far, just wait and see. Janet Ellinger, a royal classmate, And homecoming queen is she. With so many activities in school this year, She's as busy as can be. Evelyn Shindeldecker, real quiet and shy, The editor of our book this year. We owe her a lot, and we realize it more, As our graduation draws near. A blond little miss with a sunny little smile, Is Phyllis Clouse, a friendly lass. She's liked by all her classmates, And she's treasurer of our class. Now we come to the end of our story, A tiine that is sure to be sad. As we say good-bye to our classmates, We think of the fun we have had.
