(O 3 Board of Founders of the University OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY is owned and con- trolled by a Board of Founders. This General Board of Founders meets once each year, at com- mencement time, on the university grounds in Atlanta, to inspect the institution, to review all matters of large im- portance in the life of the University and to give directions to the Executive Committee which is elected by them, and from their number, and which will look after the details of management of the institution between the meetings of the Board of Founders. Each member of the Board repre- sents a gift of one thousand dollars or more to the Uni- versity. Nothing more ideal has ever been proposed in the man- agement of an institution. It is already in operation and its perfect practicability is largely responsible for the marvelous success of the University.
