6413 64 Um f WHETHER the team was leading or losing, whether the crowd cheered or jeered, the cheer- leaders were always present to support the Blue and White. Their duty was to keep the morale of the team at its peak and to lead the spectators in cheering it on to victory. The team did not always win but when it did, much of the credit deservedly went to these ever present, ever loyal, ever enthusiastic cheer leading teams. The persons chiefly responsible for the accomplishments of these groups were the captains, Frances Ann Kelly,Peggy Ashley, and janet Wiber and Mrs Frances Long, director of girls' athletics.
