K dba, 7 63 O Managers EUGENE PUTNAM and DICK POST lmmedlately upon conclusion of a very successful baseball season the Ogden Bulldogs began workouts for our lirst basketball game By the tlme the Hrst game rolled along Coach Kemp was faxrly well settled on the slx boys who were golng to do most of the work They were Myron Bluhm and Dlck 'VlcGee at forward MCYVIII Frenchs at center Ronme ,Ieffords and Bob Woods at guard and Mlke Hay as .lack of all trades The managers for this year were Eugene Putnam and Dlck Post. Somethlng very unusual happened thls year Ogden won the first basketball game of the season by a score of58 to 42 After that, they slowed down and lost several 1 to 3 polnt decrslons However they played better than 500 ball the last half of the season and won 7 out of 13 games One of the hlghllgbts of the season was the wlnmng of 3rd place ln the Sldell lnvltatxonal Toumamentg however the 90 to 71 w1n over Um Hrgh ranked tops ln a season consxstlng of 9 wms and 14 losses Although Ogden appeared to be the best team entered ln the Post Season Freshman Sophomore Tournament we were ehmlnated ln the second round ofplay by Homer 42 to 41 The comlng years should be very good years for the Ogden Bulldogs The 51 52 team was just loaded w1th great freshman sophomore talent So let s come out and watch the 52 53 team start full speed ahead' LET S ROLL BULLDOGS 7 l 7 First Row.
