They are llerbert and lihme Osterbur who graduated and john liauerle and Dale Myers who moved away. The team competed in two dual meets, two triangular meets and the county meet. This year's squad is made up of the veterans from last year's team and several freshmen and sophomores. BASKETBALL The Bulldogs of Ogden lligh had a thrilling season of basketball under the staunch leadership of Robert Usterbur and XYalter Robbins as co-captains and Mr. Ilay as the first semester coach and Mr. NYaldrip as coach after his discharge from the service. The material was somewhat green this year but it had a good team spirit. The only substitutes were freshmen, two juniors, and a sophomore. The Ogden Bulldogs upset St. joseph and llomer, both by a one-point margin. The games were won by a free throw in the last seconds, ln the St. joseph game Robert Sattler made the winning free throw with five seconds left in the game. The first game of the season was lost to Uni lligh, but the game was later forfeited to Ogden as they unknowingly played an ineligible player. This made it nine wins to sixteen defeats for the Bulldogs for the entire season and eight wins to seven losses in Champaign County. Carry on, Bulldogs! The IQJO .llarnon 15

No permanent position was assigned to any player but rather everything depended upon who looked best in practice. Three veterans-Robert Osterbur, Glen lius- boom, and Hialter Robbins-were left from the previous yCi1l S team.
